Who can apply for scholarships?

• The program is open to students from Sri Lanka who have successfully completed their O/L or A/L examinations.

What are the basic eligibility criteria?

• The basic eligibility criteria for our programs are as follows: For the Foundation program, applicants must have successfully completed their O/L exams with B passes in Mathematics and English. For the degree program, applicants should have successfully completed their A/L exams.

Can students who are already following a foundation/degree program apply for this program?

• Students who have commenced their foundation or degree programs within the last 6 months are eligible to apply.

How long does it take to complete the program?

• Part-time degree program takes up to 5 years to complete.

• Students who starts with the Foundation and continue to the part-time degree program would take 6 years to complete.

Do I have to select between funding for my degree program vs receiving a monthly study allowance?

• Yes, students have to choose between the two options.

• Students who choose funding for the degree program will receive LKR 20,000 per month as an internship allowance, in addition to funding for the degree program.

• Students who choose the study allowance option will receive LKR 20,000 per month during the first year of the internship and LKR 100,000 per month thereafter. There will be annual increments to the allowance.

   

Is there an age limit?

• There is an age limit for the program. To be eligible, students must be under 21 years old at the time of application.

What is the timeline for the selection process?

• The selection process for this program is scheduled to take place in November 2023. Applicants will be notified of their application status by the end of November 2023.

When are students expected to start their academics?

• Students are expected to commence their academic program in January 2024.

Do students need to meet entry criteria for the university/academic institute?

• Students are required to apply to the university program, meet the specified entry criteria, and be selected based on the requirements set forth by the respective institution.
